Our group has made some major changes to the Anti Bully Squad’s marketing. We decided to create an Instagram account for the Anti Bully Squad since they did not have one. We unified all of the social media accounts by using the same username since they were not previously consistent. We made them look more uniform to one another and the website. We changed the profile picture to just the logo rather than a picture of a celebrity. Then, we created new hashtags that the organization can use on their social media posts to get trending. “Step in and speak out” is a common slogan that we used among all of the social media accounts and posts.
In the social media posts, we created a few new ideas. For instance, since the Anti Bully Squad already has so many celebrity and athlete connections, proceeds from tickets to sporting events can go towards the Anti Bully Squad. In addition, in the new designs we promoted more about the organization and the new ideas that we had.
For the mascot, we decided to completely start over. We felt that “courage,” the original mascot, should be changed. We agreed that courage should be everyone and not just one mascot. Since it is an anti-bully “squad,” it should be everyone trying to make a change and have the courage to step in, rather than just one mascot to represent the idea of courage. In addition, we felt that the original design of the mascot did not promote any diversity.
We made some additions to the mobile application such as adding a program called the Little sib -Big sib program where students from all over can connect and be a listening ear to one another. Students can connect with other students from their school or local neighborhood who needs help or just needs someone to listen to them and give advice.
